That moment when life shatters
You watch your blood trickle to the floor
If it were any other moment you might just worry more
You drop the blade abruptly and watch it fall so slow
You really feel the pain now, as your tears start flow
Your laughter's turned to silence
Your smile gone and faded
Left with all the memories that will never be repeated
Your head falls to the side as you see just what you've done
Were the pills and alcohol really that much fun?
You're slowly losing consciousness and feeling that "pure bliss"
When in reality you're looking over and realize this is it
Memories come flooding in and loved ones cross your mind
You wonder "Will they really care when I leave them all behind?"
Some voice tells you "No." And you really do believe it
That's the voice that got you in this mess this evening
It really is too late and you want to say good bye
You wonder if Mom and Dad will even cry
A tear falls down your face and you think you see "the light"
Your eyes close softly and you kiss the world goodnight.
